Under the direction of Kumu Hula Greg Ka'imi Lontayao, Hālau Kawaihoa and Noanoa Te Tiare Polynesian Dance Company was established to perpetuate the traditions and the culture of the hula and polynesian dance. The style of hula and polynesian dances is taught in its form as passed down through generations and teachings. The course teaches hula kahiko (ancient dances), hula 'auana (modern hula), and dances of Polynesia, with extreme emphasis on the expressions, emotions, interpretation, the visualization and the history behind each dance defined by its origin.
Hālau Kawaihoa and Noanoa Te Tiare Polynesian Dance Company encourages the participation, support and efforts of communities, families, relatives, friends, colleagues, and significant others, to play a role in the success, goals and achievements of these schools. We invite the supporters to become active members to assist with encouragement and support.
