Teva Oriata is Portland's only traditional Tahitian dance group (Pupu ‘Ori) that brings the color, vibrancy, and love of the islands to the NW with traditional/authentic dance performances done in handmade costumes to drums and melodies across the waters. Weekly hula basics classes are offered as well as selected dancers for intermediate hula. Poi, Siva, and other Polynesian cultural dances, crafts, and language classes are offered on rotation.

A strength, flexibility, and endurance building workout/training for dancers of all styles and even non-dancers that want a dancer’s body. Muscle group focused, confidence building, modifiers available.

6-7p = Beginner Vahine (women)
Tahitian dance for beginners. Focus on technique, learning the names of each step, building stamina and flexibility, and learning the meaning behind choreography.
6-7p = Hula basics
7-8p = Intermediate hula
